Household and home care — detergents, cleaning fluids, fabric softeners, dishwasher tablets — are packaged in some of the most geometrically complex containers on the shelf. Odd-shaped HDPE and PP bottles, trigger sprays, and wide-mouth containers all demand film that conforms without lifting, whitening or distorting under production conditions.
Detergent bottles are often HDPE with pronounced handles, trigger assemblies, or embossed logos — zones that create extreme local shrink requirements. Cleaning fluid bottles may be PP or PET with deep waist profiles. Choosing the wrong film grade results in fish-eyes, incomplete shrink, or whitening in high-shrink zones. The household vertical also has the strongest PPWR recyclability pressure: HDPE detergent is a priority stream in most EU markets, and a PETG label that sinks with the HDPE bottle contaminates the recyclate.

For HDPE containers: LDPE stretch sleeve (mono-material) or PO polyolefin shrink sleeve (floatable density 0.90-0.94 g/cm3) are PPWR-compliant without modification. For PET household containers: specify cPET wash-off PETG with EPBP documentation. Polimex supplies all three grades with third-party test reports on request.
Child-resistant caps on cleaning products often require a tamper-evident neck band. Polimex PETG and PO shrink sleeves with integrated laser-cut perforated neck bands meet this requirement and are compatible with trigger spray and standard screw cap formats at 100-350 units per minute.
