Incoterms define exactly where risk and cost transfer from seller to buyer. Getting this wrong can leave you responsible for a damaged shipment on the other side of the world with no recourse.
Seller makes goods available at their factory. Buyer handles everything: local transport, export clearance, loading, ocean freight, import clearance. Maximum risk for the buyer.
Seller delivers to the named port and loads on the vessel. Risk transfers once goods are on board. Buyer pays ocean freight from that point. Most common term in international film trade.
Seller pays ocean freight and insurance to destination port. Simplest option for buyers without freight relationships. For first shipments, we recommend CIF.
Seller delivers to your warehouse door. You only handle import duties and local customs clearance.
Polimex Srl ships under EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF and DAP. For new customers, CIF recommended. Contact: web@polimexgroup.com
