NOT RELAXED BACK HDPE CONTAINER

Cause: Too high shrink force 

Solution: Add heat activated glue 

Solution: Use OPS or POF substrate

FLOWER ON THE TOP OF BOTTLE

Cause: Insufficient film shrinkage 

Solution: Use right substrate +2% shrinkage margin 

Solution: Try PETG high shrink film

BARCODE DISTORTION

Cause: Wrong design structure 

Solution: Place barcode in vertical position always

Solution: Place barcode on the least curved position

INK COLOR CHANGED

Cause: Ink poor quality

Cause: Fast shrink in steam tunnel 

Cause: Insufficient slip characteristics

Cause: Tunnel shrunk too quickly

Solution: Choose right ink supplier

WET T-SHIRT/SELLOTAPE

Cause: Surface of the container and the inner surface of the film come in close contact with each other                    

Solution: Separate surfaces of film and container with white ink or varnish

WHITENESS INSIDE

Cause: Excessive ink in high shrink area 

Solution: Remove excessive ink

Solution: Adjust ink dosage

RAISED LABEL EDGES

Cause: Incorrect slitting

Cause: Use of razor, crush slitters

Solution: Move little bit back solvent to very edge place

Solution: Use wrap or tangential shear slitting

Solution: Adjust cant angle, blade profile, knife sharpness

BURST SEAM IN HIGH SHRINK AREA

Cause: Solvent poor quality

Cause: Ink contamination

Cause: Fountain solution in seam area 

Cause: Insufficient solvent delivery 

Cause: Mechanical issue

Solution: Improve solvent control and delivery

INK CRACKED IN FOLD

Cause: Ink pooling along the fold lines          

Solution: Keep U fold always

BLACK COLOR

Cause: Black color absorbs heat more in hot air & radiant tunnels. 

Solution: Adjust tunnel heat

Solution: Decrease black ink in high shrink area

FISH EYES

Cause: Film contacted with cold surface & glass

Solution: Pre heat prior shrink apply on hot air and radiant, ok for steam

NECK COLLAPSE IN HIGH SHRINK AREA

Cause: Shrunk too fast, result of tunnels too hot. 

Solution: Shrink slowly from the bottom to up

CURL BACK ON TOP

Cause: No clear area in the top of label

Cause: Film shrink faster than ink

Solution: Leave important lay flat on label

SMILING/FROWNING

Cause: Wrong film chosen

Solution: Choose the right substrate
